So, this is nowhere near my final set amount, but I'm feeling pretty accomplished and have to share. So far I've collected 4 dozen eggs to set next week. I'm collecting all the way up until set time. I should honestly be getting around 2 dozen a day, but the girls haven't caught up yet.

I'm getting excited for the hatch. My silkies have been laying daily, so I should have plenty of cute fuzz balls!

Scroll down to near the bottom the the "Your Forum Signature", to the far right is an "Edit Signature", click that, make the change and be sure to save it.

I am working on getting an auction together for eggs. I will probably list it on the 24 Hour Auction thread. I'll post a link when I do.

) I just want to add that I think you have to be in desktop mode to do it. I don't think you can access in the mobile app.

I started collecting eggs to test out the new incubator. Then, I had a few extra days of fiddling with it to work out the kinks. Now I have a few extra days worth of eggs to add and my little test hatch isn't so little any more.

These finally went in the incubator this evening.

I started collecting eggs today and they are sitting on my kitchen counter but I worry that they may get too warm while we are using the kitchen. Opinions?
Currently cooking and thermometer reads 65 F.

Put them in a closet or room that has a closing door. If you have a cooler put them in an egg carton, take a paper towel roll and put them both in it. Set the eggs small side down, pencil the collect date on the top and set the carton with eggs with the roll under 1 side elevating a side. Move the roll 3-4 times a day back and forth to keep the eggs turned and the yoke from sticking. Good luck.

A cool room or I was going to suggest under the kitchen sink
