What color Orpingtons? I got my first Lavender Orpington egg today.

I was given a Lavender English Orpington roo, hatched from a papabrooder egg, by a wonderful lady that i met here on BYC. @cree57i . I went last week and picked up 5 LO chicks hoping to get him a girlfriend. lol. Also i have 18 BBS in the incubator AND 12+ Black, BBS, and BBS frizzle coming from Hog Creek Ranch. I am patiently waiting to get a Silver Laced Orp, my dream chicken.

maybe setting some salmon faverollas, looks like these eggs maybe fertile. What ya think. Mr. salmon roo has been sick . he is better now..


my clbs are have a fertility problem for some reasons. They hatched like popcorn last year.

@HappyChooks don't know what thread she's playing on right now but hope she sees this. I think she's the one that can't keep roos, right ??? a baby sock with the toe cut off works too. And since it is stretchy it doesn't have to be adjusted. My big boy has worn one for about 5 months. Cut the toe off, and roll it into a donut. Slip over his head and under hackle feathers. (They were talking about a crow collar and this person suggested this)

She's def good people. I have gotten BCM, OE, and EE eggs from her, in fact it was for the EHAL LAST year, lol and thats what laid my NYDHAL and what gives me eggs now. I have also gotten a BCM roo and 5 hens from her.

Count me in. I didn't have an incubator last year. So I missed out but I got one with duck eggs already and another should be here just in time to put some in.

Hi everyone, I have an IncuView incubator that rolls eggs on their sides. My eggs are shipped, one has a detached air cell, and I read an article saying they incubate eggs straight up and don't turn them for the first 7 days. What should I do, and what do you guys do?

I only have 1 lavender Orp pullet but have 4 roosters. 1 rooster is with the pullet another is in with one of my rhodebar pullets and another is in with 2 splash pullets unsure of breed and the other is with my layer flock that has RSL, light Brahma, and easter eggers so plenty of orpington mixes going to hatch this year.
