The 7th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-A-Long!

Does anyone know where to get a fan for an incubator? Without having to order one online and wait? I already looked up Tractor Supply inventory and didn't see one sold separate...I'd just feel better about the bator from the attic if it at least had a fan
get a CPU fan from your local computer shop. They give old ones away. There is a wiring diagram here on BYC, don't have the link.

I picked up a tiny one from radio shack but it was 3x more expensive than the one I ordered. Try best buy, circuit city, or another electronics store. They sell them for cooling computers and gaming systems.

Am I still able to be put on the list I set eggs yesterday(March 5) I just was not clear that was participating. Thanks! :D

Poor guy. I was pulling for him when I heard he got cold. Have there been any others?
I ended up with 7 of the Altsteirer chicks that I hatched making it. Looks like 3 roosters 4 hens.

The other pigeons stopped trying to nest after that, but have recently been building nests again so hopefully I'll get some babies soon. I REALLY want my favorite pair to hatch some babies but at the moment they are the only ones not interested in nesting

Altsteirer chickens are neat looking. Glad you ended up with more hens than roos (hopefully)!

Of course the favorite pair won't. I think it's like they know you want them too. :lau

One of the three roosters is much smaller so still hoping he's a she. I do like their colors. Although right now they are still developing their colors

ok I have 23 eggs set, 5 bantams, 3 olive, and the rest are various shades of brown!!!  Of course my Maran decided she didn't was to give me eggs when I started collecting them yesterday, she'd been given me eggs all the way up to that point, so I didn't think I needed to put any back and put them in the fridge, oh well such is life,

That had happened to me before. The one hen I want eggs from, nodda one.

It's like "I don't want no sticking kids".

Just set my eggs.
Incubator: 6 Shipped Olive egger eggs and 1 turken egg
400

Broody Mama: 7 barnyard mix eggs
400

Yea! Score another point for the NN's. All mine are NN eggs. Of course there is a chance of a few of them turning out fully feathered.

It depends on the incubator. Incubator warehouse sells replacement parts for incubators.

Thank You to @mlm Mike, @Sally Sunshine and @ronott1 for helping me with this year's Hatch-a-long! I truly could not do it without their fantastic help!

I did set my 25 eggs early because of the time frame. I did set one egg yesterday from my Black sex link lol. So I guess I have 1 officially for the Easter HOL.

Just to note: YOu guys are awesome for keeping up with so many members participating!
