Hey all! Finally home, all kids in bed and sat down for a minute!! Long day - haven't caught up on posts but wanted to update on my daughter. So I feel like we got decent news but still aren't out of the woods just yet. (Which is making me a nervous wreck!!) The enlarged node hasn't grown anymore according to the doctor BUT it hasn't gotten any smaller either. And she has some other odd symptoms that have been ongoing throughout this.
The oncologist wants to see her again in 2 months to see if the node is still this swollen or if it's gotten larger - if either are the case, then she'll have to have an excisional biopsy of the entire node. We're hoping it shrinks back down before her May appt. He also told me if her symptoms worsen or it grows noticeably larger BEFORE May, then we need to come in sooner.

So...kind of left not feeling super great because it's so open ended still but we're optimistic!
Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers...her oncologist is 2 hours away so we had a long day.
Time to play catch up, read some posts and candle my day 10 air cells!!!

Prayers! Get rest..not easy when so much worrying going on.

Just candled the HAL eggs and pulled two (1 clear, one death) out of my 48. Took a look at the bunch of turkey eggs I sat at the same time and they are looking good too. I plan on setting a bunch of turkey eggs next week, and was hoping to get some coturnix in the incubator by now, but I think only one, maybe two, of the hens are laying.

Ok wrong thread but bent toe advice please (breeder of the sick pullet I got offered equivalent value in new hatchlings and they don't have coccidiosis) got this polish for free cause of his foot (same length wing feathers, think cockerel)

I'm sure you're getting much good advice here, but I am behind in my reading, and wanted to make sure to comment on this.

I got my inspiration from The Chicken Chick's post on splay leg, which includes advice for crooked toes.

Rescued a clutch from a broody who quit, and incubated. Mixed results, including this little one. One foot curled under so badly she could not even stand.

Brace shoes from pipe cleaners and VetWrap. Hers took 3 days on the bad foot, 1 day on the other foot (slightly crooked), and you'd never know it!

So is it normal for the day 10 AC's to be JUST outside the day 7 AC's? (Chicken eggs) it was just barely a change but I did see lots of great movement and blood vessels in almost all. Had 1 blood ring...& a couple that are kinda questionable as far as being fertile but I'm leaving them for now...
