The 7th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-A-Long!

Well, my dozen white eggs stopped developing. I'm leaving them alone now except for turning them, since I don't want to throw out an egg that might be viable.

I walked over the hill to Andy's market on Highway 116 in Sebastopol, and bought a carton of Rock Island fertile brown eggs to replace the ones that got baked, and a pink carton of multicolor eggs from the Chicken Girls farm in Forestville. There's a pale green egg (CCL?), a white one, a beige one and brown ones, some with speckles (Welsummers?). They're a week old.

They won't hatch in time for Easter, but at least I should get some little chickens this way.

My count is thus 36 now, but I'll cull at some point.

Greenish is most likely an EE. And I do have speckled eggs with no Welsummers - someone sneaky lays them, and I don't know who! Lol!

June Bug isn't allowed in that pen, even before this happened he wasn't. Tongue's good. Lot's of the swelling is gone and I can almost talk like normal. My leg hurts pretty bad though, but I do have 3 holes in it.

Hey all! Finally home, all kids in bed and sat down for a minute!! Long day - haven't caught up on posts but wanted to update on my daughter. So I feel like we got decent news but still aren't out of the woods just yet. (Which is making me a nervous wreck!!) The enlarged node hasn't grown anymore according to the doctor BUT it hasn't gotten any smaller either. And she has some other odd symptoms that have been ongoing throughout this.
The oncologist wants to see her again in 2 months to see if the node is still this swollen or if it's gotten larger - if either are the case, then she'll have to have an excisional biopsy of the entire node. We're hoping it shrinks back down before her May appt. He also told me if her symptoms worsen or it grows noticeably larger BEFORE May, then we need to come in sooner.

So...kind of left not feeling super great because it's so open ended still but we're optimistic!
Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers...her oncologist is 2 hours away so we had a long day.
Time to play catch up, read some posts and candle my day 10 air cells!!!

He can't stand, can't swallow, has lost control of his bodily functions multiple times and not know it until my mom changes him, can't speak right half the time, sowing all signs of a stroke but the 'dr' says all tests were clean. Then he told us to get my dad Medicaid or insurance and then surgery for his back... WHAT THE!!???? He just said there was nothing wrong then he tells us my dad should have back surgery!!!??? Then he sends him home saying he's done all required for 'this' patient.

Basically no insurance or cash... He doesn't care.

Oh please take him somewhere else - I know it's not the same symptoms but we have a super crummy hospital (& equally crummy doctors where we are) my father in law started feeling bad and had chest pain / they barely checked him out and said he was fine - go home. He did...& he died of massive heart attack the next week. My mother in law wishes they would have gone elsewhere and had doctors that had taken it seriously. Praying for y'all!!!

That's got a lot of great info...was still hoping to hear from someone personally on their experience with the AC's on day 7 vs day 10...I read through quite a bit of that post but didn't quite see exactly what I was looking for...

I have one that got told the other day he's about to head to freezer camp. He attacked me then my husband (who's like a giant so I don't know what that chicken was even possibly thinking) but then he attacked my 7 year old when he was out getting eggs. Ferdinand (the rooster) and I watch each other closely. He stalks me around the yard. He use to be really sweet but now not so much. He's a brahma, I dontknow if they usually have attitudes.
