You need a separate lockdown incubator is what it sounds likeI set on Sunday the 6th (3:30pm), so lockdown is Thursday? I have some really small bantam Phoenix eggs in there though, so should I lockdown on Wednesday in case they come early?
@Sally Sunshine
Yes, the plug should be removed. I took the plug out of mine and lost it years ago. The plug can cause problems during hatch and does not do much during incubation.I've got a forced air Genesis hovabator...it only has the one plug in the top...so I should remove that at lockdown? The bator is actually in our kitchen because that's the room with the most steady temp and it's out of direct sunlight.
Do not worry too much about it. The chicks will be fine.Well crud!!!! This dang thing didn't say anywhere to pull the plug on day 10?!!!? Now I'm worried
