My first time seeing it..had to share...man, I'm glad all chickens don't get that big. I couldn't afford to feed them!

I'm on a bunch of chicken groups on facebook, so I get to see one cool thing 50 million times.

I couldn't figure out why in the world Blu was asking me about Brahmas until I saw the video. He wants them now and I can't say I blame him!

I've ordered 42 pekin eggs to hatch and 6 call duck eggs. A bit more than originally planned but hey how! Can I ask the best and quickest way to despatch the day old male chicks as I will only want to keep 1 or 2 myself.

3 out of 4 eggs have drawn down correctly! I'm officially in lockdown!

I've decided I'm not going to count the 2 clears from this hatch in the fertility rate since both of those eggs were over a month old when I set them. That was my fault rather than Blizzard or the hens. So, 100% fertility on the 4 that do count and I'm not counting on a 100% hatch rate because of stuff that was out of my control. I'd say that's pretty good for some older girls that still lay like pullets.

Well for starters mom bought 180 chicks so brooder space is limited, then there's avian flu about five hours from here and the state is in lockdown so kinda want to keep a low profile so there's nowhere for ducklings to go if I can't sell them.
