The 8th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-a-long!!!!

My 2nd incubation attempt, but it's a brand new incubator. I've set 7 eggs today.

EGGS ARE SET!

I only have a weenie little Brinsea so I set 7 total. I have 3 OE's, 1 FBCM, 2 Blue Splash Maran/FBCM cross, and a Blue Andalusian/FBCM cross. I don't know why, but I'm really keeping my fingers crossed for a cutie from my lone white egg! My flock laid these eggs so they didn't travel. Oldest egg was laid within the past 5 days, one OE was laid this morning. I know the FBCM egg looks enormous, but that's the size she consistently lays. I candled it and it's not a double yolker.

Not sure how many I can keep, but I'll worry about that later!

I am not sure whether or not to set EE eggs now! I don't want them to all ne cockerels as that's how my luck goes. Currently at 11 eggs for cochins

You never know, most of my huge leghorn eggs were doubles but my j giant's have laid many 100gram+ eggs and never a double.

Your FBCM egg looks just like a freshly unwrapped Cadbury egg. Just in time for Easter!

My leghorn eggs are massive as well and I've never gotten a double yolker. Kinda wish I would though.

Set the first part of my HAL batch tonight. Two ayam cemani, ten fibro frizzle cross (cemani based) and two leghorns. So 14 tonight, and the rest should be in on Saturday if the PO is kind to me.....
