Lozuufy!I'll be setting eggs for sure, hopefully my chocolate Legbar project eggs if the roo realizes he isn't a hen. If I don't get fertile eggs from them then I'll just buy some more chocolate orp eggs.![]()
I went to the magpies pen today, and saw an egg in the coop. Got excited as I have been afraid I wouldn't have magpies ducklings, since she hasn't been laying. Turns out there were three deep in the hay. All fertile. I am wondering, from one mating how many fertile eggs will their be, for how long? Because My ancona boy mated with her when they were out, maybe two weeks ago. And I wonder if the fertility in the eggs was from my magpie drake or the ancona...
Just ordered a new Genesis last night, any opinions, or input from those of you that use that type? I have 15 serams and 15 buff orpingtons on day 9 right now in my old hova bator. I will probably try out the new incubator with a full batch of Buffs for the Hatch-a-long.
Thanks. I haven't seen him breed her, but then again I am not always watching..If she was bred by the Magpie after the Ancona the eggs will most likely be sired by the Magpie drake.
