So what do you all do with your extra chicks? Sell them? Give them away? I love to hatch chicks, but I don't need any more.

Not that i know of , but I am doing a breed~and~hatch (along) with my hatch date on St. Patrick's day.

Might have to play wait and see on this one. Judy Broody is getting ready to hatch a batch today. I can hear the little peeps getting ready to visit themselves upon us. And with these Cochins, I could already have another four or five brooding by then. So we're already in for quite a show--break out the popcorn!!!

Oh yuck

I'd use a diluted bleach on them. Rinse well, repeat and rinse well again. Then try and get them in the sun to dry out if you can.

X's 2! I use this method after each hatch anyway..half bleach..half water .. solution. Doesn't take much bleach to kill those germs. I bet the bators will be fine if you do this.
