The 8th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-a-long!!!!

I'm pretty annoyed with my chickens. I couldn't find four of them last night and I thought something or someone had carried them off. Nope, they stayed the night in my neighbor's yard. :barnie  I spent the morning trying to get them back over the fence. I got Jazzy and Henrietta back over, but not the boys. Jazzy made a beeline for the coop. Apparently she had to lay an egg and she wasn't waiting for anyone.

I have a hen named Jazzy too. Great minds think alike. :highfive:

I have pips! The turkeys always seem to hatch a day early for me and since they're all due tomorrow, most will probably be out by bed time tonight lol. Tomorrow, all the chicks will probably start to make their appearances.

Ok, so I was ahead of myself. I am anxious for these 4 to hatch, I'm only on day 19 right now. Hatch day should be Fri/and or Sat.

My incubator hatch is the same time as yours I'm messed up now because of me intervening for my Dutch hen boy I'm tired

I'm tired. My husband helped thank goodness...cleaned all of the coops and runs today. The main big one, a smaller one, the nursery, and one that is half open, hard to explain, plus...like I said, the runs. A lot to do after winter. We do clean it up a couple of times in the winter, but mostly keep straw down. Now, the straw is gone, and nice fresh shavings will keep going in. Whew, glad that's done. Now, we need to go to our mill in town and get some feed. I get 100 lbs of it for 22 dollars. Not bad at all. My chickens prefer it over anything that I have bought in a bag. 18 percent protein.
