Merry Christmas to All!

Barbara’s new Big Fluffy Butt is growing in, slowly but surely. She reminds everyone to eat lots over the holidays and you, too, can have your own Big Fluffy Butt. It will help you keep warm until spring, when there will be lots of eggs and/or Little Fluffy Butts running around.

The The Chickendads and all the Chickie Girls and Boys wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Most Happy New Year! Treats for everyone!

Merry Christmas to Barbara from my own Barbara Ann, Laurinda and Kate....plus Lucy and Ethel....all Barred Rocks. Fluffy butts are everywhere here it seems....including mine.

Looking forward to the new year when the three pullets, who are gaining size daily, start to lay me some eggs. The Lone Rooster is courting them heavy right now. He is very charming and finds them the choicest of treat and chatters at them to come look see. Mean Lucy was not as mean as they thought....she only had been at the bottom of the pecking order where she came from. It is Ethel that is a little snotty.....she won't let the little girls in for treats if she can get her fluffy butt in there first. The Lone Rooster always steps in and lets the girls get their fill.

Merry Christmas to all!

In honor of Fluffy Butts everywhere, both human and poultry, I made an enormous pan of fudge last night (the old-fashioned, not marshmallow kind). If you are in the neighborhood, stop in for your share!

Chickenboy is here today and planning a funeral service for yet another of the Sussex girls. I am not quite sure what he has in mind, but I am pretty sure it involves refreshments and a trip to the grave site. . . (11 is such a fun age!)
