The adventures of Barbara (BR)

MrsChickendad
Thank you. I was refered to this thread about 4 days ago and I spent the last three reading every episode from day one. Your wit and hands on insight with your flock had me laughing out loud all the way through. I just got my 6 BR girls last spring and chicken TV out here has provided hours of entertainment although I must admit I was getting quite frustated when my girls insisted on placing all my mulch out into the yard for me to rake. Now that I realize it's their job I will be much more understanding. Today is coop cleaning day and you have given me a whole new perspective that has me actually looking forward to it.

Heres hoping for an early Michigan spring so that all of our girls can get back to the task of keeping up the yard,

LOL - Barbara should show those girls on TV how to dress! I've been contemplating a chicken sweater for our molting girl. A turtleneck for sure, since she's so scrawny at the moment...
any patterns for chicken sweaters out there?

Thanks everyone for your feedback on Barbara's adventures. I keep thinking she will run out of adventures one of these days, but then she just does something so "chickeny" that it has to be told. I appreciate everyone's comments and welcome to our new readers, Lighthawk (from Michigan, and practically around the corner), Tammerlin (Massachusetts-home of the BIG SNOW) and Tartannik (from Scotland). It is interesting to see how far Barbara's stories have gone. I think New Zealand is the farthest, so far.

Here is a pattern for the chicken apron similar to Barbara's. Maybe I will make her a spare with monograms and bling befitting her diva status. She is still wearing hers quite happily, maybe it helps her keep warm and encourages her to lay blue eggs . . . .

I think Caroline (sewinca) should add to her Drapery business: Caroline's Draperies and Chicken Wear. It has a nice ring to it. . . . .

Off to clean coops . . .
