My poor gander when he molts looks so pitiful and acts it too, so I do give vitamins in his water. Mine usually don't molt till early summer when mating season is over, well mating season is over for your gander since you have mama on the nest. so guess he figured why not molt lolthey are calling for snow so anywhere from mid 20's to 30's but yes they are in a pin that's got a roof an sides with heat lamps to lay under if they want i thought it was molt but when I seen them almost bald I worried he seems to be feeling ok but I thought looked a tad thin. thank you im just one of them over Bering over protective moms lol I freak out over every little thing I say I never would have thought when I got them that I would have falling so crazy in love with them they are just my world along with my other 2 an 4 legged kids lolJust up the proteins on the feed, its perfectly normal The dust is the chaff off the feather shafts, and once the new wing feathers are in it will stop. The temps are ok for the molt, unless the body is moulting too. They have very thick down to protect them. It just means your babies are maturing![]()
