The African and Chinese goose thread!!

Hi All!!
I started reading through your threads and noticed 293 so hopped over to ask a question or two. Do the geese mix with poultry? I want some geese really bad enough, I've had to make myself leave the feedstore. My daughter bought a couple while visiting here and they are awesome!!! Also, do they really eat weeds or mostly the grass?

Thank you!!
My geese, chickens, ducks, cows, goats etc, etc, all live together. Each one has preferred foods, and work in harmony on pasture. Space and food, water is most important for it to work.

What breed.this is the second one I hatched.
White chinese, Did the other gosling white chinese live? Do you have heat for this one, is it with the other goslings?

Quote: What about the second white gosling that was acting ill? Since you posted it, I guess we were all hoping for an update, good or bad.

So they lose their strength gradually? I would think the air resistance from the wings would slow the wings down... ?

The wing/flight feathers would be a lot heavier therefore the punch would be more intensive.
If the wings are clipped the wings will be very light and the punch won't be as powerful

So Glad THEy are both doing well. I am hoping I will have a couple hatch in a few weeks. I received 2 more eggs yesterday, so now I have 5 in the incubator. I've read and studied the goose incbating guidelines that "Pete55" shared. Today is day 6 so I will candle 3 of the eggs this afternoon! The batches are 5 days apart. I'm hoping that I can put the babies together once they hatch...??
