)! We now have 13 ducklings and 2 goslings. But We have been seriously talking about the geese for a few days since my husband was kinda wanting them too. So i called up to see if they had white chinese and they did. They are an hour away so i was a little worried they would be gone. But there were still about 6 left of these ones. I picked the two smallest.

My poor goose! She just keeps on sitting and sitting but when she gets up to eat after a couple days I go look at nest and there is nothing there... I don't think she understands she is suppose to lay an egg to sit on

She is 3! She did the same thing last year!
She never laid an egg last year either? Asking because I have a 5 yr old Toulouse who hasn't laid but 4 tiny eggs this year and not nothing this week, Acting perfectly healthy and they are in breeding season, she goes in every night and lays in her nest on 6 fake ceramic goose eggs. But hasn't gone broody yet. I tried to find info on what could be wrong but haven't found anything about domestic geese going through menopause. lol i don't care if she never lays again as long as she is healthy.

No she didn't lay any in here best but we did find one out in the yard... I tried to put it in the nest but she pushed it back out... I don't know why yours isn't laying but hopefully she is okay!

I live in MT, sometimes we get -20 in the dead of winter. I am getting baby ducks & geese in June. Trying to perfect their giant predator proof run that they will stay in when I am at work or not home (free range when I am home) I want to know if I can put wild sagebrush in their pen? Is it toxic? Will they destroy it completely? Also, I would like to add wild grass that grows in our fields. Does anyone have any helpful info on sagebrush & ducks, geese? I think it would be perfect- cold hardy, thick wood branches, little maintenance, ect. Of anyone can help, I would be very much appreciative. I cannot find any info on Google that relates with ducks & sagebrush!

I could really use some help! I'm picking up an African gosling this evening, he's one day old, do I feed him chick starter? What temperature do I keep him at? I have chicks in the brood that are 2-3 weeks old, any and all help would be appreciated
