Ok so i can't sleep. I keep thinking of things i need to do and things i need to buy and where i should go and what i need to do first ad infinitum. How to build that hoop coop. Argh! I took pills but not conking me out. What parts of the house needs cleaning. I need to get the paint in before freezing weather hits. Etc. Etc. Etc. Why does my head not have a sleep mode button???

Don't forget that DE will kill fleas too.

Already using borax and some other carpet treatment plus i have spray for cats and one for dogs but they all hate it with a passion and run when i put it on them. I have a flea comb and manually kill as many as possible. The only thing i have not done is treat the yard, but then we don't really have grass. And i hate to spread poisons where it might run down into the garden. Sigh. The to do list never ends. Still have plants that need planting!

4:30 am. Sleeping soundly. The dog sneezes twice, then barks. He wants out, right now! Let him out, he starts to squat on the deck. This is a sore point with DH. The dog thinks he is outside, and he tries to poop. Not ok, so i yell no and try to grab him. He yipes and runs off down the steps. Now he does not want to come in. Really? Someone give me strength. I feel like i just fell asleep. It is 66 in here, feels like 50 after my warm bed.
He better hope he shows up when i go downstairs to try and get him in here.

It is 41 degrees outside. This dog has never spent a night outside. He refuses to show up. Probably out there under the shed. Of course husband is awake but stays in his room. He hates the dog. I return to my room and one of the cats runs out the door as soon as i open it. Really? I grab it and the other one tries the same thing. Still not a sound from the dog. No where to be seen. Put the light on the back deck. Not there either. What do i do? It is 41 out and i can see my breath. Feels like 32. Hoping he will feel cold and show up and bark to get in. I really want to go back to sleep if i can.

Still nothing. Maybe if i put the dog crate out there he will curl up in it and stay warm. He does have long fur. Ugh, i need to sleep. 2 hours is not anywhere near enough sleep.

Sorry you had such a rough night Cap! I'm sure the dog is fine for warmth if he has lots of fur.

So the last time i went to look for him, there he was on the welcome mat!
If i told you about the dream i had after that you would never believe me. It was set in india!
