I think I gave you eggs from pen #3 and another pen. I can't remember the other one - are there eggs marked "RA" in there?Ok I just set 44 aloha eggs...I have 20 1 week old aloha babies in the brooder yea!![]()
I think I gave you eggs from pen #3 and another pen. I can't remember the other one - are there eggs marked "RA" in there? Yes, about 15 are marked RA, some are marked pen 3, and some are unmarked. Here's pics from pen 3:![]()
Little spotty rooster in with BIG hens. One spotty hen is pure Swedish Flower, other spotty hen is half Swedish Flower. The buff hens are all half Aloha and they all carry spots. From Buff Rock bloodlines to improve size. In theory, half their chicks will be spotted and half will be solid color, so you'll need to pick out and keep the spotty ones and sell the ones with no spots or too little spotting. We've had trouble putting spots on the buff color but my friend Laree did get ONE from a chick she hatched so this is what you'll be looking for in the chicks, if you get so lucky:
If you can refresh my memory, I can show you the adults from the "RA" pen if that's indeed the eggs I gave you. LOL!
The RA pen has this daddy:Yes, about 15 are marked RA, some are marked pen 3, and some are unmarked.
Yep, that's the pen with the Garry Farms roo that we bought off of that Craigslist ad. Stephen had a free breeder pen so I brought him five of my most lovely ladies from my home flock here.Absolutely, I think I am going to work on building my foundation flock from what I have on the ground and in the bator. Then when I know who my culls are, and who my breeders are, I can bring in that 4th roosters blood. He's the Garry farms roo right? I am crossing my fingers for some super spotty hens and a really good roo or two, then ill share the rest with other aloha bycers.
