Some Update Pictures::::

John is an elderly black labrador that came in a few days ago. He is too thin and likely has arthritis (causing his legs to turn in the way they do in the photo), however, the reason I couldn't get a great picture is just because he's not been given the go-ahead for volunteers to walk him so he I had to take it through the kennel door.

This is Spencer, a sweet and handsome Pit-bull mix boy with a brindle body and white markings.

Not the best picture, but this is Sarena. She is guessed to be part Sheltie and possibly part Pomeranian or some other Spitz breed.

She may not look that sweet in this picture, but this here is Priscilla. She is a Pekingnese mix girl who came in a few days ago. She has issues with her back or legs that cause her to walk somewhat sideways, but is a very happy-go-lucky pup despite it.

Look whose showing off her happy side! Nero isn't always calm and quiet, she likes to play too!

Taurus was neutered yesterday and will hopefully be available for adoption soon. He is heart-worm positive so will need to be treated for that first.

Hawthorne was neutered yesterday as well. Hopefully he will get adopted quickly! He's an awesome dog. : )

He even knows how to tree things. Here you can see him quietly searching each branch for any signs of coons or squirrels.

Kingsley is up for adoption! Great job, dude. : )

Bentley the American Bulldog mix is a very well behaved, beautiful girl. I love her. She is great on walks, with people, and with being asked to do things like sit.

Alby searching the bushes for the best pickings of grass. Dogs eat grass when they don't feel well, but also seem to do it just for the fiber content, which must help digestion.

Lewiston is adopted! He is being held for medical reasons, but is very happy and seems to be feeling much better.

Coby the Chihuahua x Min Pin is excited for his walk!

A fox has been hanging around the shelter recently. The dogs don't seem to mind and he doesn't bother them, so its just kind of cool to watch.

Onyx the Bully breed mix. I think he is blind due to being "lethal white", a genetic condition where the eyes do not properly develop due to low amounts of melanin.

Sarena again.

Athena, a new girl in quarantine still. She is very shy.

A German Shepherd. Don't know anything about him yet, but hopefully will when I go in today.

Hawthorne enjoying the weather.

Kingsley sniffing the grass. He may be fixed, but it takes a while for him to settle down and not fall for the ladies. : )

Another picture of Doobie. Such a sweet, gentle soul. Hopefully she will get to go home soon.

Hawthorne was neutered on the 1 of September and is healing up well.

Taurus was also neutered that day and seems a little stressed but is such a sweet, puppy-like dog. Hopefully he will get over it soon and get to go up for adoption.

Hawthorne passing a kiss!

Coby watching the fox on his walk. : )

Priscilla saying hello and getting a chin scratch.

Jenna is such a sweetie! She is now friends with Priscilla and the two are allowed out in the run together. : )

Hawthorne in the shade, just before being fixed.

Pinky is up for adoption! You go girl!

Kingsley is also up for adoption. He has a chronic ear issue, but all and all he is a very healthy, energetic boy with some issues with other dogs, but once he looses those hormones (it can take up to a month after being neutered) he should loose that intensity and be able to settle down and just enjoy himself.

Taro and Jarvis together. I think Taro is up for adoption now, not sure about Jarvis yet.

A new dog from today, a little elderly Westie boy named Macleod. Hopefully he will be reclaimed.

Getting some pettin's, Pinky got a hair-cut to finish up her grooming and I think is going to Petsmart for the day to meet people. ...

... she'll win them over for sure! : )

Priscilla out in the yard.

Look how cute she is!

Jenna sniffing around.

Athena, one of the new dogs. She is very nervous, but will hopefully settle down like Margot did.

Nero is such a sweet girl. Missing some teeth and a little too thin, she is so precious no matter what her healthy may be.

She always gives side-ways looks, which is so cute! She has a little bulldog face and shepherd body and tail.

Pinky.

Jarvis and Taro out sniffing around together.

Alby.

Nero and her beautiful brown eyes.

So sorry! I haven't been on BYC lately, but I just got caught up with all the doggy updates! Hawthorne seems so sweet and the typical hound personality! Gotta love hounds! Priscilla and Pinky are both so cute too, well, their all cute! And hopefully they all get adopted soon! :)

Thanks!

Hawthorne, Priscilla, Odin, Jenna, Baylor, Hondo, and Barry are up for adoption! Pinky and Coby are both adopted as well!

Things seem to be going very well at the end of this summer. I'll try to get more pictures soon.

Oh that little Westie. Hope he's reclaimed soon.

The best dog I ever had was a Westie, loved that little girl. RIP Trixie, miss you!

Hondo was returned the next day because of family issues (nothing he did), but there were lots of people interested in him so I'm sure he'll be adopted soon. There are also people interested in Priscilla and Morgan is adoption pending!
Macleod, Dinah, Odin, Hawthorne, and Jenna are up for adoption now! Yay! Most of the dogs are like 25-75% off and we are having a huge adoption event in a couple weeks to try to get as many forever homes before winter comes. Over half the dogs are from another county that didn't have the money to keep their Humane Society open, so we take in their strays. That means we have life twice as many as we use to get, so it has been a lot of work, but totally worth it.

Hondo the 4-6 month old Rough Collie x Beagle mix pup. He is a male, friendly, talkative, and very cute!

Holmes is a mix-breed boy that is not yet available for adoption. He seems very sweet, but isn't fixed yet to my knowledge.

Odin (sorry for the poor quality picture, he was looking so cute though!) This boy is now up for adoption. He is a lab mix male, around 2.5 years of age.

Baylor was adopted!!!

Marco was adopted!!

Ernest is a new doggy, a male hound mix with handsome tan and brown ticking. Very cute.

Moose is a male boxer mix. He has a microchip but we haven't been able to contact them. He is 7-years-old and neutered, sweet if not a little cautious, with this cute tiny curly tail.

Madie was returned to her owners! Yay for her! She is so sweet.

RIP to Coco, who passed away a couple days ago. Lots of tears and sadness, she was very, very sweet this one.

Danby is still here. The poor guy isn't as cuddly as the others so people over-look how incredibly handsome, friendly and obedient he is, as well as intelligent.

John might be elderly and arthritic, but he is very sweet and excited to be around people.

Onyx is very excited to have someone let him out. Very cute this one, very excited and strong, but the only reason you get hurt by him is when he leaps to give you kisses! He is very sweet.

Ernest again, smiling for the camera.

Onyx sniffing around.

Onyx looking thrilled for a treat.

Doobie, still being held (hopefully to be returned to her owners eventually) she is very sweet, gentle, obedient and shy.

Spencer looking really cute as he waits for a treat. He is not fixed yet so is not up for adoption.

Nadia is still here, the poor girl. She didn't even jump the short fence while she waited for me to return her to her kennel. I hope someone falls for her and adopts her soon.
