Wrangler, a German Shepherd mix (possibly with Chow)
Parker, a German Shepherd with Heartworm. He doesn't let it slow him down though.

Chunk-A-Monk the puppy
Sandy playing with the hose. I tried to stop her, but today she ended up putting a hole in it. I had locked her out of the crate and was in the crate and she wanted to the water, so she grabbed the rubber part and pulled it to try to get the water to come to her. It came all right, spraying from all the little tooth holes. I couldn't be mad at her, even if she did make it so I couldn't finish cleaning her cage. : )
Kingsley is starting to look up at your face to see you reactions now! he wags his tail, puts his ears down, asks for treats and gives kisses. All things he didn't use to do when he first came.
Greta looking like a coyote. She is a fun-loving girl, that's for sure.
Wrigley out in the yard. He's got the cone on (lamp head is what we call it) because of a healing eye-injury.

Sorry for not updating in a while, things were really busy at the shelter. It was completely full and so we made all dogs under $100 and we got a lot of adoptions! This included some of the older dogs, as well as new ones: Ammo, Darius, Vanessa, Daemon, Blondie, Clifford, Greta, Margot (YAY!!!!), and Wrigley.
And Turquoise (real name Raven) found her owners! After weeks of not knowing where she was, they found out she was being kept at the Union County Humane Society after the Logan County shelter was shut down. They took her home and she is very happy!!
Current dogs in hold (medical or stray hold) are Adam, Alby, Cujo, Dalton, Frankenfurter, Godiva, Dory, Jenna, Jetta, John, Leonard, Lewiston, Moose, Parker, Sasha, Nessa, Lizzie, Bert, Ernie, Veronica, Wrangler, and Zither.
Current dogs in foster are Plucky, Garrick, Julie Jaws (she is practically adopted, but it isn't official yet), Jester (pending adoption), Taro, Clancy, Shelby, and Ryker.
Current dogs up for adoption are Chunk-A-Monk, Dusk, El Gato, Ernest, Gatsby, Harvey, Holmes, Ilene, Kingsley, Nadia (has someone interested), Onyx, Spencer, Sandy (yay for our humane case, Sandy!), and Turk.

Dory, a 4-month-old mix-breed pup. Very shy and sweet. She has four dewclaws on her two back legs, an interesting mutation.

Dalton is prone to growling at people. We'll see if he can settle down with some handling. Seems as though he may be an escaped Puppy-mill dog, as he is not fixed, older, and not social.
Veronica was found with was appeared to be her daughter and son. They were both adopted, but she is heart-worm positive and has to go on treatment first. She is a real sweet-heart.
El Gato might look frightening, but he's really a good boy. I haven't gotten the chance to get a better picture of him. He's a chihuahua x terrier mix.
Bert is a Basset x Lab mix. He came in with his brother, the brown basset x lab, who is named Ernie. However, neither are neutered and they argued when brought in, so they are being held separately for now.

And I know Nala was adopted but is it possible she's an Italian Greyhound or Whippet mix? I think whippets are bigger though so maybe not but IG mix? Just wondering cause she doesn't really look chihuahua to be, her ears and curled/hunched over sight hound like back give it away lol I can clearly see the chihuahua in Gatsby but can't really see it in her but it's possible she's IG/Chi. Not that it really matters since she found a home and is adorable either way.
And I hope Dalton can stop growling! I'm sure he's probably just terrified and will come around with time.

They're all so cute! I absolutely love Lizzie! I'd take her in a heartbeat but we're not in the position for another dog. I hope she gets adopted!

She could very possibly be part Italian Greyhound. : )
We get lots of Chihuahua mixes but a surprisingly small number of purebreds. Our newest chi mix looks to be part Miniature Pinscher or similar terrier breed.

Nessa, Ernie, Bert and Ernest went to another shelter to find their forever homes. We've also had some adoptions! Mitsu (the husky who was here for only like a week and a half), Chunk-A-Monk (yay!!!), Harvey, Nadia, Honey (here for a very short time) and Lewiston. Frankenfurter I think is pending adoption and someone is interested in Dory. I'm not sure about Veronica, I think someone might have come for her because she wasn't at the shelter last time I stopped by.
Kingsley is in foster as well as Clancy, Shelby, Ryker, Taro, Plucky, and Julie Jaws (who is practically adopted, it just hasn't been made official).
