Timmy smiled, but the feeling of concern and worry came over him again. "Everything's going to be ok." He told Hazel, but this time, he was trying to comfort himself as well.
“Yeah. He can’t be the only one though, can he?” Hazel asked him quietly. She wished that someone else- another wolf with experience was around. She tried to snuggle Cody.
Timmy nodded. "There's usually more than one." Timmy replied quietly. "But I don't know how many you're having." He said and he wished he knew.
“You think they’re stuck?” Hazel wheezed. She snuggled Cody some more.
"No." Timmy paused, then continued. "They're probably just taking their time."
Hazel looked at Timmy for a minute. She really did love him more than anything. She hoped everything would be okay, but at this point, she didn’t know. Not yet. She decided some rest would probably be best, so she gave Timmy a small smile and closed her eyes. She tried, for just a moment, to do nothing but feel Cody. Even though she had just become a mother, she already felt connected to her baby. She felt that she could feel him without even touching him. She loved him with a love that she had never experienced before. With that, she fell asleep with her newborn pup.

Timmy watched Hazel fall asleep. He watched her every movement, even her breathing. He had never been in a situation like this before, so he was filled with worry. He laid his head on his paws and promised himself that Hazel was going to be ok and that she was going to wake back up again. He looked at Cody, then Hazel again. He had never known what it was like to love another very much before, but now he did, and he didn't ever want to loose them.
