Jock smiled, then put his head on his paws. He licked some snow off of them.

Brynn stayed hidden. She didn’t trust this other wolf. He had thrown a stick at her brother, and she didn’t think that was very nice.

Brynn gasped. She wished Owen and her father were right there with her, but they weren’t, and she was all alone with a wolf she hadn’t met before. She didn’t want to show herself.
