Shira looked quizzically at the bird on his back. “ poor thing, it doesn’t even know the danger it’s in.” She thought. “ I…well I’m a..Cadaver dog.” She responded, he didn’t reply.
“ I dunno how to tell you what I am I’m just….a dog.” She said, looking like she’d failed a test and was about to get the worst punishment. “ not kill me? Well that’s relief but…. What if he’s just lying, trying to get me to lower my guard…not that I could do much if he is lying.” She thought

It was true, her human could be very dangerous, but only to protect his pack. Shira swallowed hard, “ I…I’ve been lost for a couple months now, I don’t know where I am anymore. My human and I were searching for someone out here, but he…” she trailed off, unable to continue. Shira crawled into a spot that allowed her to be farther away from the strange wolf but it also took her out of the shadows. Her bones were showing and she looked as if she’d not eaten in weeks.

“ Sh-Shira..” she answered weakly, trying to sound as if she could still give a good fight. It was a natural instinct not to show weakness, but it was hard for her.
