Laufen sniffed it. He’d never been brought outside to drink water, so the new, cold scent of it interested him.
"Stay still and calm, please," Alexander strangely said to Laufen. He picked up the bowl of water and began to gently pour a little bit of the cold stuff on Laufen's wound.

Shira slept for an hour or two, but kept waking up thinking something was after her. The wolves. They seemed nice, a little odd, they sounded different and…. Well they were different! The whole pack thing made Shira uncomfortable, before all this she was the leader of her own world, having to follow someone other then her trainer and partner seemed….weird. She thought back to the dogs she worked with, there was a bit of a hierarchy, but never a “I control all others, He who denies me gets killed” kinda thing going on. That in turn made her miss the dogs she worked with, a few other German shepherd’s, Winter was her favorite dog to play with out of them all. Cliff was too old and mean, and twinkle was too lazy.

Macaw sniffed the ground. He wagged his tail as he went along. It was nighttime, but the moon shed enough light for him to see. Something suddenly stopped him. It was the scent of a dog. That caused him to wag his tail. He was familiar with dogs. In fact, it was one that had saved his life that one time. The Loner coyote decided to follow the scent.

Shira did her best to stay asleep, but her mind was racing and the cave was getting stuffy, she tossed and turned until finally. “ GAH, ENOUGH!” She yelled at her brain angrily, walking to the opening and staring at the moon while resisting the urge to howl.

Macaw was still following the scent. He stopped when he heard the voice of someone ahead. He looked up, and saw someone, but it didn't look like a dog that he was expecting. First off, it's ears was up and it was a different size. Suddenly, he began wondering if he was really following a dog scent, or some other strange creature.

Shira heard something to her left, looking over to see a coyote. The moon was to her back, her ears shot straight up and her eyes seemed to glow yellow. looking like a walking skeleton she shifted her weight. “Oh…hello there.” She said, trying to sound friendly, but her weak voice was raspy, especially after yelling at herself.

Macaw tilted his head. "You smell like a dog, but don't look like one." He replied oddly.

Shira tilted her own head. “I’m a dog, just a big one.” She replied, smiling with her teeth. Her Silhouette looked slightly scary in the moonlight.
Macaw put his head down. He suddenly realized that this dog- was bigger than him. "Oh. I see." He replied keeping his moderate tone.
