Khali moved her ears around and opened her eyes when she heard him putting his paws on his face. She tilted her head at him and watched him again with a small frown.

In a way, Caiden was trying not to cry. What he used to do had ruined him forever. He didn't know that Khali was even in the den.

Khali's mind went to her tramautic past again and she closed her eyes. "Why did the fire even have to happen? Why did my mom have to die?" She then went deep into thought about her mom. "Why did she have to die?!" She blurted out and covered her mouth with her paws.

Caiden's head shot up as his paws fell off to the ground. He looked at Khali wide eyed. "Is she drowning herself in self pity too?" He wondered. He got up, and started walking over to her.

Khali kept her paw on her mouth because her yelling out was very accidental. She looked over at Caiden who was now suddenly walking over to her.

“Timmy!” She accidentally yelled. “You need to stop,” she said more gentle. “I can see your in pain. I can see it. You need to stop trying to hide it.” She turned her face away worried he would get mad at her and try to leave.

"Is... Everything ok?" He asked as he got over to her.

"Oh." Timmy said quietly. He suddenly glanced over at the Alpha den hoping that Hato didn't hear Hazel yelling at him. He didn't exactly know what to do or say now.
