Khali stayed awake, just thinking of everything. She didn't really want to fall back to sleep but didn't want to wake Caiden up by getting up.
Even though the sun had rose, the den was still dark inside. Caiden snored away not realizing the time.

"Ok. If you say so." Becky said quietly feeling a little conforted. "Oh! We heard wolves howling."
Korrin: you did huh? Wanted to find out who it was? *it wasn't hard to figure that out after she mentioned hearing the wolves. She'd done that as a pup several times before.*

Kenai: yea, we wanted to know. *he wasn't going to admit that he didn't want to because he didn't want to put blame on his sister.*

Becky nodded. "How'd you know, mommy?"

"Bite a leg or something." Hunter called to Hazel wanting her to help.

Timmy left the rest of the herd and started running too. Little did he know, the buck of the herd saw the young deer getting attacked, and wanted to protect the herd. It followed Timmy without his knowledge. It put its antlers down and charged with the rest of the herd following.
Hazel clenched her teeth and ran at the deer. She looked it in the eyes. She didn't think she could ever hurt such an innocent creature. She shook her head trying to shake away the feeling. "Come on. You're a wolf. You are supposed to be tough," she tried to convince herself. She tried her best to be tough and bit one of the deer's legs. She closed her eyes as it gave out an agonizing sound.

Jax turned to look at Timmy. That's when he saw them. "TIMMY!! Behind you!" he shouted.

Hazel's bite was enough to help bring down the deer, though it was still alive. Hunter jumped off as it fell and went for it's throat hoping to finish it off quickly.

Timmy chuckled to himself. "What? Is this some kind of-" He was thinking, but for whatever reason, he listened. He looked back and saw the buck nearly on top of him. He accidentally hit up against his injured leg in his surprise, and stumbled into a silver furred mess. Shockingly, the deer didn't even touch him as it went over him. As the rest of the herd thundered over Timmy, he put his paws over his head to protect himself. He was scared and was expecting to get stepped on.

Hazel stepped back. She hoped Hunter would quickly put the poor thing out of its misery.

Jax howled. The deer were still following.

Hunter's teeth was just sinking in when he saw the herd quickly coming for them. Lifting up his head fast, he yelled at Hazel, "Run."

Caiden snoozed the day away.
Khali woke up again but this time slowly. When she opened her eyes, she saw how bright it was getting in the den. She was very surprised so she got up slowly. She lightly limped away from Caiden, over to the entrance of the den, and shook herself out and stretched. She sat down at the entrance and started licking her leg. Her limp was going away but she still decided to try to help it heal fully.
