“They got away,” Jax said disappointed.

“Yeah-yeah, I think so,” Hazel told him shakily.

Hunter slowly stood up. "Is everyone ok?" He asked more worried about the other wolves than the deer.

Timmy started licking her all over. "You sure?"

"Yes. Then you can rest so your leg heals faster." Caiden said accidentally reviling his idea.

Khali nodded with the same worried look. "Just be careful." She said while nuzzling him.

She started digging, her paws touching his everytime she went to scrape more dirt out.

Tayuga managed to wobbly get on all four legs and stand for a second before falling.

Chandi, a baby genet, called for a mother that could no longer come for him.

Blazer smiled everytime her paw touched his. "You're a good digger." He told her.

Owen wasn't too far from his mother, Tallulah.

Khali nodded with the same worried look. "Just be careful." She said while nuzzling him.

"I will be." Caiden nuzzled her back. "I should be back soon." He promised.

"I will be." Caiden nuzzled her back. "I should be back soon." He promised.

"Okay, good luck," She said.

"Thanks." Caiden said before trotting off.

“Yes,” Hazel said snapping out of it a bit. She licked him back. “Are you okay?”

Blazer smiled everytime her paw touched his. "You're a good digger." He told her.

Owen wasn't too far from his mother, Tallulah.

Àlfr nudged him, "A necessity when you've dug as many graves and dens as I have," she said, her tail gave a swish and she looked back to digging.

Tayuga made his way over to his father, grumbling the whole time.

Chandi continued calling, he stood at the entrance to the den, looking around. He was older than the pups that weren't too far off but he was still far too young to be on his own. He was the only survivor out of his siblings after they been attacked by a weasle. His mother hadn't come back from her daily hunt today yet however and that concerned him.

Brynn woke up to find that she could see. It was a bit blurry still, but her eyes had already opened.

Hunter looked over too. "Good." He smiled.

Timmy nuzzled her. "I'm fine." He lied. He was hurt, but he wasn't going to tell Hazel that.
