"Uh, yeah...? There's not anymore coyote's with you are there?" Uhtred asked getting more puzzled.
"Ah yeah. About that..." Macaw trailed off. It was true, he was a loner Coyote, and he wasn't even from the Antler Mountains.

Uhtred wasn't sure if he should be alert by this or more relaxed as the thing hadn't given him a clear answer. He took a deep sniff and sneezed, "Smells like twolegs," he said, violently shaking his head, clearing it of the smell.

"Two legs?" Macaw looked at Uhtred and asked. "Is that some type of animal that lives around here?" Macaw accidentally showed by that question that he wasn't originally from the territory.

“Um okay.” She said very hesitantly. “I’ll try.” She left him lying down where he was and creeped out through the entrance.
Timmy said nothing more, but drifted off into a deep sleep as Hazel left.

Uhtred laid his ears sideways, "Uh, not directly up here, but they walk around on ya know, two legs like they own the place with sticks that kill for them... and sometimes weird floppy things that bring them birds...? No fur, no fangs, no claws... twolegs...? Never heard of them?" Uhtred was confused, who hadn't heard of twolegs?? He's clearly not from here, he thought to himself as he studied the strange coyote.

"Oh, oh, oh." Macaw said. He now understood, at least somewhat. "Yeah. I know them. They're very nice and share very good food. They're sorta weird at first, but once you get to know them, they're very nice. I even saw one pretending to be a coyote once." Macaw laughed with his mind full of good memories when some had rescued him back when he was in rough shape.

Uhtred sneezed again, hard. "Nice?! Twolegs are not nice, they kill anything that crosses their path!" he exclaimed, almost angrily. His father had been shot by one when he was just opening his eyes to the world.

(~skipping some time)

She had been searching for a long time, but hadn’t come up with anything. The thunder kept going. She was getting soaked. She came upon a few animals but couldn’t catch them. Until she finally came upon two fat nesting rabbits. This time she decided to creep very quietly and take her time. She jumped right up on them and snatched them. They made horrible sounds, so she decided to put them out of their misery. She had to, for Timmy. She held them in her mouth and brought them all the way back to the cave. She tried to forget what she had just done.

Vishnu followed the female, waiting for her to drop the rabbits so he might snatch some like he usually did. He wasn't trying to hid, comfortable as he was around wolves, he walked proudly, his tail swishing like a cat.
