"Um, ok," Álfr said, a little uncomfortable at the thought. She didn't like getting wet because then it showed how thin she was. She stood and hesitantly went to the edge of the rain, looking for the next dry spot.

"Cheeep!" the little gosling said, and ran under his adoptive mother's chest fur, "It's okay little one." she chuckled, "I guess we need to find him something to eat. But, what does a gosling eat?"

"I'm not sure," Owl admitted, "To me it always just looked like they were eating the water or the ground, not sure what they were picking up," he said sheepishly.
