*korrin spotted him and quickly took a defensive stance, a habit she'd gotten into since she first became a loner.*
Jax put his head down but kept his eyes on her while showing his teeth a little. “My name is Jaxon,” he told her. The only one who called him Jax was his sister, and this was most definitely not his sister. He didn’t bother taking a defensive stance himself. He was quick, so he could easily do damage fast if needed. “And you are?” He asked in a partly charming voice.
*korrin watched him closely, ready for a fight if he chose to attack. She would not run from a fight unless she were fighting three to one. She could handle herself alone in a fight pretty well with lower numbers if she weren't at to mush of a disadvantage.*
“Mhm, I guess that makes us the same,” Jax shrugged. “Seen any other loners around here?” He asked trying to play it cool. He knew Hazel was probably gone. He accepted it long ago, but between the butterfly and this new wolf, he was feeling somewhat hopeful.
Korrin: loners come through this territory often. Some even join the nearby pack. If your looking for someone, they may be there.
Jax gritted his teeth. He wasn’t going to go poking around some pack territory without a true reason to. “Eh, I don’t know,” he replied back. “You got anyone else?” He asked curiously. He was wondering if she really was alone like he was.
*korrin was hesitant to answer a question. She watched him thoughtfully.*
Jax looked at her a bit surprised. “Pups but no mate?” He asked softly and raised one of his eyebrows.
Korrin: no, used to, but still no. *it was pretty obvious that she didn't wish to speak any more about her dead mate.*
