Caiden stayed by Khali. "We're all out of food!" He yelled as well.

Hato barely flinched. He slowly lifted up his head to look at them. "That was expected." He replied sounding depressed.
"Wait, why?!" She yelled at him. She noticed that he was acting weird but didn't say anything about it.

"What do you mean?!" Caiden yelled in panic at the same time as Khali.

Hato looked down. "With Sayuki Pack's new Alpha breaking the alliance, we have barely any hunting territory now. Food is scarce. It's hard to even find a meal." Hato replied. All his words weighed him down as he thought about them. "What am I going to do? My pack will probably starve at this rate. Especially with winter coming." He thought to himself.

Khali started to breathe quickly and hardly. She had the feeling of tears coming to her eyes but none did. "So, can we hunt?" She asked sadly.

Caiden was starting to breathe hard, but was trying not to panic.

"Not in the Sayuki Pack's territory. Stay on this mountain. That's our territory." Hato replied depressingly. He knew that Jack Rabbit Mountain was small, and he feared that the days of good hunts were over.

Khali nodded sadly. She began to walk away, hoping that Caiden would follow her.

"Maybe we'll find something." Caiden told Hato. He was worried about the whole situation. Seeing Khali walking away, he followed her.

Hato nodded, then put his head on his paws again depressed.
