The Antler Mountains ~A Wolf RP~

Rusty leaped backwards a moment after Baxter landed in the bush, too stunned to react sooner. He cried wildly in fear before rushing over to his friend, staying away from the caribou's antlers as he made his way.
Baxter got up still surprised about what had happened. "I wonder why did it do that?" He said a little confused. He looked at one of his front legs. "My leg hurts Rusty." He told Rusty. He looked back up. "Oh look! The Caribou wants to play! It's coming over to us with those sticks on his head close to the ground!"

Rusty wined loudly, "I don't think so, Baxter!" After seeing it toss Baxter he didn't want to meet the caribou's head-sticks himself.

"But it is." Baxter replied not knowing that the Caribou was coming towards them to hurt them.

"Run!" Yelled an adult wolf that unexpectedly jumped in between the two pups and the approaching caribou. It put it's head down and snarled at the Caribou.

Rusty for once actually obeyed, immediately he stumbled away as quickly as he could manage.

Baxter didn't want to run, but he recognized the voice of his father. He feared that he was in trouble, so he followed Rusty. "Wait for me!" He called to his friend.

Alexander grawled at the Caribou and jumped up to startle it. Then he ran through the bushes and came out in another direction and did the same thing. He did that to make the Caribou think that the pack was there, not just him, and so hopefully the Caribou wouldn't attack him, but run away instead.

Rusty didn't stop for Baxter until Alexander and the caribou were almost completely out of sight.

"Wait!" Baxter called. Finally he caught up to Rusty when he had stopped. "Why didn't you stop?" He whinned. He starting licking his hurting leg. It hurt more after running with it.

Alexander did his same trick a couple more times. Finally, the Caribou figured there was a Pack and bought Alexander's trick. It mooed and dashed off in the woods. Alexander stood in the direction that the two pups had gone in, so he knew the Caribou didn't go in that direction.

"I was just trying to get away from the big scary thing." Rusty told Baxter honestly. He had never experienced actual injury and didn't understand that his friend was in pain. "Do you think that the big wolf will tell us where camp is?" Rusty eyed the direction they had come, not wanting to go back over there but desperate to get home. By now he was quite exhausted.

"Oh." Baxter replied. He looked back at where they had ran away from. "I hope not." He said quietly. "I hope he doesn't find me." Baxter limped over to a bush and tried hiding inside it. "If he comes, please don't tell him where I am." Baxter whispered.

Seeing the Caribou gone now, Alexander decided to track down the two pups.

Despite his confusion of not knowing that Alexander was Baxter's father, Rusty decided to follow his friend's lead. "Okay, okay." He whispered, "let me in, too."
