“There!” Hazel tried to be somewhat quiet as to not make whatever was watching them make any sudden movements toward them, but she needed to get Timmy to see it. Aspen finally let go of her mother’s tail and plunked onto the ground.

(Oh, yeah, a bobcat would be good.)
Timmy perked his ears forward. He tried looking closely, but his secret blindness in his left eye seemed to be betraying him. "I, don't, see anything." He said slowly staring hard.

(Ok!)

The figure crept forward, out of the bush it had been hiding in, eyes wide and teeth clenched.

“Oh, no,” Hazel gasped. Aspen got up but wished she had stayed down, it was too scary. Hazel started to step backward without even trying. Aspen stayed behind her.

Owen went in with Tallulah. He stayed away from Hato and Brynn, but stayed by Tallulah. He curled up and closed his eyes.

“I hope so,” Brynn muttered sleepily. She was hoping to make her parents proud and maybe even be allowed to go out on her own in the near future. Her eyes started to close.
*Tallulah smiled and licked Owen's head lightly before laying her head down to sleep.*

Now that the creature had come out, Timmy could see it better. Instantly, Timmy put his head down and grawled. He raised his hackles and started going towards the Bobcat threatenly. He was looking to protect his family.

Cody watched. He slowly went towards Hazel hoping to hide behind her.

The bobcat didn’t stand down, it snarled and came closer instead.

“Cody, come,” Hazel told him in all seriousness. Aspen trembled.

Timmy tried fluffing himself even more and grawled louder. He raised his head to make his sharp teeth obvious.

Cody smiled nervously and quickly went to Hazel. He was scared.

The beast looked past Timmy. It knew what it wanted, and that was the pups. It thought if it could just slip past the wolf...

Hazel didn’t know what to do.

Timmy instantly saw the move. He wasn't able to let it get his pups, and he had warned it. With a loud snarl, Timmy leaped at the bobcat with his fangs ready to bite.

Cody saw the bobcat try coming towards them. He yepped in fear.
