They are lacking Pg on their make up, they are ER/ER, Ml/Ml-pg+/pg+-Db/Db

Then this is ER down? Chicks pictured are the same birds, just younger. They were all striped as chicks so I could not tell what that implied. I wasn’t aware if under modifiers, ER could be striped.

Also, from everything I’ve heard and red, these birds have the charcoal gene.

Db and Melanotic will give ER Chick down stripes o the back


Silver Spangled Hamburg chick

Its Highly Unlikely they could be anything other than a simple ER/ER, Db/Db-Ml/Ml-pg+/pg+.

eb is rather impossible to find on Polish chickens, Db is linked to Melanotic so charcoal is a very rare recessive melanizer.

Both colorations are Birchen, so more birchens.
Males of either Gold, Silver, or Gold/Silver split.
Females of Silver, or Gold.

I hatched a Malay chick with something I haven't seen before. Feather buds right down the middle of both hocks. The rest of the shanks are clean.
What would cause this? Also will it go away?

They maybe Leggy.
I'm not sure theres such a thing as split for long legs.

Silver Birchen hens and Silver/gold+ roosters, they will look Silver until the males start to mature and their shoulders will take on an orange color
