On this same topic, I have a silkie mix cockerel (blue partridge silkie rooster over black star hen) that I want to breed with my OEGB pullet. How will broodiness be displayed in the offspring?

He will sire pretty good broody hens

I don't see any decrease in broody as long as you don't add a non-broody breed

If a flighty/scatty unfriendly hen has babies with an unfriendly rooster would the chicks inherit the 'unfriendly gene'? I have a hen who is unfriendly and her babies are unfriendly no matter how hard I try.

Speckled Sussex Rooster Over a Columbian Wyandotte hen would produce sex linked chicks, hens that will look red/dark buff columbian and Silver(golden with yellow hackle, saddle and orange shoulders, but with silver body) males

saving this for later. my mom is wanting to hatch chicks for her classroom and I have exhibition quality bantams of both these breeds. Sex-linked bantams will be fun*!

*assuming bantam genes behave the same as standards
