Sex-linked bantams will be fun*!
*assuming bantam genes behave the same as standards
Light Brahma are either Wheaten(have seen many yellow chicks) or eb(seen many eb chicks as well), Columbian restricted(Co/Co) bl+/bl+I too have another genetics question—what would the results of a light (white) Brahma hen with a blue Cochin male? Thanks!
Light Brahma are... Bl/bl+...
Thanks, FixedI think you've got a typo.
Light Brahmas, with no blue gene, should be bl+/bl+
Sorry, I did not see this posted before. I am working on a reply nowOh, I do have a question.
I have a mixed flock of reject Wyandotte bantams (they have disqualifiers under the Standard of Perfection) and want to know what these combinations might entail. I have males and females separated at the moment and want to try new color projects.
- Columbian Wyandotte Male x Partridge Wyandotte Female
- Chocolate Partridge Wyandotte Male x White Wyandotte Female
- Silver Laced Wyandotte Male x (White x Columbian) Female
Thank you![]()
Thank you kindly! I will be crossing the 3rd group to get those partial laces.Sorry, I did not see this posted before. I am working on a reply now
*Columbian Wyandotte Male x Partridge Wyandotte Female(Silver or Gold based?) This will result in All Silver Based Columbian progeny
*Chocolate Partridge Wyandotte Male x White Wyandotte Female
This cross will reveal what the White Wyandotte is hiding under the white. most are just partridge based so if this is the case you will get chocolate partridge hens and regular partridge based males(that hide recessive white)
*Silver Laced Wyandotte Male x (White x Columbian) Female
This cross will reveal what the White Wyandotte is hiding under the white. most are just partridge based so if this is the case you will get Partly/incompletely Silver Laced hens and Partly/incompletely Silver/gold laced males
