White Laced Red Cornish (also from a hatchery) have single lacing, so they might be an option as well.@MysteryChicken Sorry, I also forgot about Double Laced Cornish from a hatchery will likely be your best bet.
True, I have seen them(Single Laced males as opposed to non-laced dark Cornish Males)White Laced Red Cornish (also from a hatchery) have single lacing, so they might be an option as well.
Hello! I have a question.
Could a breeder possibly manage to make the White plumage gene show up in a chicken whose ancestors do not have White plumage? This would be without introducing any birds who have White genetics into the mix.
I know that White is a dominant gene, though I don't know whether or not you could make it appear in a chicken without introducing a White-feathered bird's genetics into the flock.
Thank you for explaining! I hear that White is a dominant gene (as well as Black), but does that mean it's even dominant in chickens who don't have White plumage?Recessive White can hide on many lines for years.
Dominant White would have to be introduced from a different line or the very unlikely but possible "Spontaneous Mutation" appearing. That is how most mutations happened in chicken history(others were introduced from other jungle fowl species)
Thank you for explaining! I hear that White is a dominant gene (as well as Black), but does that mean it's even dominant in chickens who don't have White plumage?
Translated by google:先生,我想问你,来自亚洲的蓝色层和来自南美的蓝色层似乎在不同的地方起作用。如果它们是双纯的,它们会使鸡蛋更蓝吗?有人试过这个吗?
