The Aussies have had the Sun long enough...

Should the Aussies be forced to return the sun to us...

When you say 30F....do you mean above or below zero....

Above; definitely above! Below and I think we would die  :lau

Here in Tropical North Queensland, our average year round temperature is 85F [29C]. Our summer to winter temperature variation is much less than yours.

We rarely drop below a minimum temp of 48F [9C], even in winter but at 9C we are freezing :p

Same here, single digit hell. Just got done shoveling a path to my creek where state released pheasants are trying to make it. Game bird pellets well scattered, hopefully that gives the poor guys a boost.

I need Australian weather! :hit

Wow that's a crazy pic! If you're trying to tell me the grass isn't really greener I'm not buying it. 90 here plenty of days in the summer. One extreme is enough, I just don't appreciate the challenge of survival in the cold. I visit the southern US and I'm so impressed with how old things are, the things humans build last so much longer and are so much more beautiful when the local culture isn't fighting to survive a climate that kills.
I need to move.

Take another look at the picture .. definitely no green grass ;) :p

Seriously [a change for me] I get what you are saying. While we do sweat it out in summer and even whinge and complain that it is too hot; we do not then have to contend with not freezing to death in the winter. Our winters are beautiful and while we may put on a few more bits of clothing than is the norm and mutter about it being cold, we really know nothing about being cold.

I do believe green grass could be in short supply there! That we do have. Sorry didn't mean to go off like that lol. Getting a bit exhausted from shoveling paths to everywhere, dealing with frozen everything, and awful roads . No break coming soon either. I know some places are colder but we aren't near our low yet either brrr.

9C is the coldest you get? lucky.

but i do gotta say i love my ice fishing.

I have had enough! We asked nicely. The Aussies refused to give it back.

I say we call UPS and pack up this cold and ship it to the Aussies.
