The Australian Shepherd Club

Here are my babies. Gus and Athena, brother and sister from the same litter. They are awesome dogs.

Here's Oli -- he's a Australian Shepherd / Bernese Mountain Dog cross. We got him a year ago as a 9 year old - wish I had him as a puppy. He's the best dog I've seen -- and we are hard to fit. He loves people, only barks at knocks at the door, DOESN'T chase or care about chickens/ducks/geese and stays right by us when outside. He's got all the right instincts for a farm dog - not so excited about herding things but he'd love to take on the local coyotes. He's not allowed to -- one older dog against a pack seems a little unfair, but he's willing . . . He's also a one person dog -- think that must be an Aussie trait, but maybe it is in both breeds. I'm going to have trouble when he passes on - he's my shadow literally . . . everyone knows where I am based on where Oli is -- no hiding in the bathroom for me! It is neat seeing all the Aussie pictures -- I can really see the Aussie side of him now. The kids do wish he played fetch, but as a drawback, that is pretty minor . . .
