The BANTAM ORPINGTON Thread

My pullet, "Yeti" started laying! Here are her eggs next to my large fowl eggs (I think they are from my Wyandottes).

LoL ! That's exactly how my bantam Orph's big eggs look along side my bantam Japs tiny eggs. One of the Orph's cry's for 30 minutes before she lays an egg. Her eggs would compare to a regular 'Medium' sized egg.

Cool, we will have to hook them up sometime, ;-). I would love to try hatching some eggs next year, never done it before.
If your hen is anything like mine, she'll try to incubate anything. Even when I emptied the nest boxes 4-5xs daily, she gathered all the golf balls. After I removed those, she sat on "invisible" eggs for over a week. I eventually gave in.

So beautiful....wish I had more space so I could get some! Are the roasters very noisy?!
Well, if you're "roasting" them, then they are very quiet.

Auto-correct strikes again!

I only have one mini orp hen, so I do not know.

Reminds me of the guy who bought his mother a very expensive pair of talking birds for her birthday.
He called her on the phone to see how she liked them. " Oh; they were good"; she said.
Mom! cried the man; " Oh; No!; You ate them ? They were expensive talking birds !"
"Well"; said his mother; " They should have said something."
