The BANTAM ORPINGTON Thread

Hi everyone. I just aquired 2 pair of black bantam orpingtons from Tim bowles. I have been raising and showing Faverolles for 7 years. Wanted to start working on another breed and has aways like orpingtons. will be looking for advice on this breed

Several trays in the bator of blue/splash. Have some due in a couple of weeks and just set a bunch more last night.

My blacks are laying well too (knock on wood), just not hatching any at this time. Now if my buffs and whites would kick back into gear we would overflowing in the bator!

On another note: Have a show this coming weekend and have 10 bantam orps entered.

Nicole is very proud of her new BOB that hatched yesterday. So far only one Buff Orp Bantam has hatched and one Buff Wyandotte Bantam. Two more "BOB" eggs are in the incubator pipped. We had an order for 6, but they stopped a laying after 3. A week went by so we set them ourselves. Nicole sure gets excited about her BOBs. Here she is with her "King" BOB.

Folks around here just REALLY like photos!

Not a rule or anything. It helps us compare our birds with others.

I have alot to learn about them. But just like any breed, I will try my best. I love pics too!!!!!!!!!!!!
