"How is it so far?"

"Good. She is responding well to treatment, I can already see a difference."

"Excellent," the large figure smirked. "Do they suspect anything?"

"They can tell something's wrong with her, but they don't know what it is."

"Do they suspect anything about you?"

"Not really, but the way those two look at me make me a bit suspicious."

"Mm." The large figure frowned. Being discovered spelled doom for their mission.

"But they aren't doing anything about it, so there is no cause for alarm yet."

"Good," relief seemed to course through the large figure. "Now be on your way, before they suspect anything."

"Yes, master." The smaller figure opened a portal and entered.

Kisu and Tosk were sparring in a training center on the med ship, but neither of them were fighting very hard. They were still thinking about Collia's strange behavior. "I can't believe that that healer told you to fight to test your shoulder," Kisu said. "I wish that my healer told me to do that."
"I'm sure you do," Tosk said, rolling his shoulder experimentally before throwing a punch at Kisu.
"I think that when we get back I'm going to find out what hospital she works in, and then switch hospitals," Kisu grunted as she rolled to avoid Tosk's fist.

Sandie had her nose buried in a book called Fleckasia and Other Shadow Diseases. (Yes, this is part of the plan.) Her brow furrowed as she read, becoming completely absorbed in it. Collia had finished writing and had fallen back asleep in her quarters.

"I don't trust Ginger," Kisu murmured as she sidestepped a blow from Tosk.
"Neither do I," Tosk said, trying to hook Kisu's legs out from under her. "Could you take a closer look at her?"
"Sure," said Kisu, punching Tosk in the chest. He flew backwards, but flipped in midair and landed on his feet.
"I think that you should spend some time around the healers first," Tosk said as he launched himself at Kisu, this time knocking her off her feet. He pinned her to the ground and placed his unsheathed claws on her neck. "I win." Kisu nodded. 'Spending time' with someone was their term for when she needed to copy a Corbian Ability.

"No," Sandie growled to herself in frustration as she slammed the book shut. She sighed and decided to head off to Collia's room, and growled when she saw Ginger in there. Ginger was patting her wing gently on Collia's back as Collia jerked and twitched in her sleep.

Meanwhile, fast asleep, Collia was having the same dream she had been having for a week now. (I'm assuming they've been on the ship for about that long, if not I can change it) She knew it was a dream... yet it seemed so real. She landed on a branch near the skyport of her hollow. This is the exact same one Saroya and Sandie and I lived in! A small humming sound came from inside. It was the exact same sound their nest maid snake had made when she cleaned their hollow. Collia felt a rush of excitement and thought that she would burst. With a shaky paw, she reached for the glass window of the skyport...

Collia awoke as she heard growls and snarls outside her quarters. "Aw, come on!" Collia moaned, "I was so close this time!"

Illy grunted, a little perturbed. "Know you? Of course I barley know you, you like a itty bitty clam that you can't open up no matter what." He formed his hands together in an example of a clam and shook them. "It was you who said... 'You have your secrets and I have mine' blah blah blah." Then he started looking for the bandage wrap he had taken off earlier. He didn't care if it were bloody he needed to put something on. "You also take accidents like it happened on purpose and make people pay for it. You can't even tell me why you hate Terrellian's, and I think I have been patient about that. I see your insulting looks and your disdain, and it makes me sick. Heck would your mother approve? Would your father?"

(almost there, he's got to get riled up, he's more patient than she is)
Callabine stiffened and slowly turned to face Illykran, her eyes dark with rage. "How dare you! How dare you say such a thing! You have no idea what my life is like! And don't you ever ask me what my mother would think! She was a much better person than you, and she never bragged about how great she was or what famous battles she had been in! She always told me the truth about battles, how battles are just an excuse for the people who won to brag about their so-called great deeds, while glossing over the fact that they have killed someone's son or wife or husband or daughter, or niece, nephew, uncle, aunt, or cousin! That they have torn someone's family in a way that can never be healed! When was the last time you saw the losing side's account of the battle in a history book? And my hatred of Terrellians is no concern of yours! I make you sick? It is you who needs to open your eyes to what goes on around you! Terrellians are not saints, they do horrible things just like all the other races!" She clenched her fists, her hands trembling with fury, then slammed her fist down on the table. Cracks spread across the tabletop before the legs snapped off and the table collapsed.
Fine then have it out, throw your little tantrum. "I haven't bragged about anything, and when the enemy comes and attacks peaceful worlds for nothing... do you expect me to stand by and watch them slaughter my people, and my children!? What do you take me for some kind of warmonger?" He snorted at the rage she demonstrated. "Terrellians are the most peaceful race out there, they put others before themselves. They are not perfect but they don't have it in them to hurt anyone unless its in defense of others or in the name of justice. Centaurs are not far behind them. We all share a bond of light. Simmer down mare.... and you don't make me sick, its your manner." He kept his distance because he didn't know how far she'd go. He did not want to hurt her if she really did attack him. Plus he had an ugly spat with a wife once and let her beat the tar out of him... then she never forgave herself for going that far.
"'Terrellains are the most peaceful race out there, they put others before themselves' and they don't hurt anyone unless it's 'in defence of others or in the name of justice'? What alternate world do you live in, because it's certainly not this one! And I never said that you were a warmonger. Try actually listening to what I'm saying instead of picking out bits and twisting their meanings!"
"I have been listening; 'she never bragged about how great she was or what famous battles she had been in! She always told me the truth about battles, how battles are just an excuse for the people who won to brag about their so-called great deeds, while glossing over the fact that they have killed someone's son or wife or husband or daughter, or niece, nephew, uncle, aunt, or cousin!' " He quoted her. "That doesn't fit the bill sweetheart. I haven't met many who do that, but I do know that some leave those facts out because it pains them way too much to talk about it. You have no idea what's going on out there. My files are sealed to protect a heck of a lot of people because I know way too much. Most of which is classified beyond your pay grade. So in your own words take you flabbergasted, stuffed up, 'alternate world', temper and 'stow it.' " Illy was pumping up. He had been wrapping his chest during the argument and was getting ready to get out of there and leave. He shook his head and snorted. "My daughter stayed out of the service for a reason, because of her dad, because she saw what war did to him. She didn't want to end up space waste like you poor fiancé, or to have to tell her foals the truth about battles like you mother. I stay away so that she can have an attempt at a peaceful life." He started mumbling. "'Twist the truth'." He snorted again. "You're the ones that's been twisted, because I don't see what one of them could have done to make you hate them so much." He started walking out after mumbling that last bit to himself.
