A few hours later Festus finally landed at the spaceport. He sighed, wondering what Helaina's reaction would be, and not really wanting to find out. He got up, and passing Helaina's treasure box, he slipped on the golden armband before lowering the ramp and walking out.

Valdan greeted him. "Good to see that ugly mug again."  He teased and held his hand out.  He eyed the arm band, but held off asking for a few minutes. 

He smiled and shook Valdan's hand. "It's good to see you too."

Valdan chuckled.  "We have been fixing thing up around here.  They almost have a planetary defense system installed... hope to have it up soon....  he eyes the armband again. "Is that a clan ring?"

Hearing about planetary defenses got Festus to think about raiding again. He glanced at the band. "Yeah."

Hellaina was starting to fade out of what they had given her. She was still physically down but her mind was starting to focus again. "Lolli... lolli!" She cried out.

Valdan started walking. "This way. She's locked up on the bunkers. We moved a lot of the mare out of the cold. Have been fixing it up." He cleared his throat. "Hellaina's father was Permethius I assume?"
