A very agitated Rivven ran up to them and stood on his hind legs, panting. "I just heard what happened to your guard," he said to Vellora, "and I'm terribly sorry. It was a mistake, we have a new chef and the kudnel got shipped to us by mistake... it was supposed to go to a different restaurant. If I had been there this wouldn't have happened, but I was at the hospital with my wife who just had a baby and my uncle was in charge, he didn't know that kudnel was poisonous to Centaurians and he had his hands full with some drunk idiots at the bar.... I will pay for the hospital bills and anything else that was caused by this mistake." He looked anxiously at Vellora.
She smiled. "It's alright things happen. Thank you for clearing things up so quickly, I just need help getting him the antidote. You go and be with you new baby, they are a blessing."

(blue after your reply next evening now?)

Valhalla, Nakiso, and Manex were in the void, watching everything that was unfolding in the Brenka. Valhalla zoomed out to the view of the entire galaxy.

"Its time some real work got done," Valhalla said finally.

"What do you mean?" Manex asked him.

"We're taking the Terrellian Empire next."

(Sure. Sorry I haven't been on, just about every computer in the house seems to be allergic to BYC. Or they are just being mean to me.)
Callabine waited for Illykran to wake up. The Rivven had brought the medicine, and Vellora had left about half an hour ago. The wind began to pick up and she shivered. Looking up at the sky, she saw that it was covered with clouds. Great. A storm's coming and I'm not supposed to move him. Well, I've got no choice. He will definitely get sick if he is lying on the ground during a thunderstorm. She reached down and grabbed Illykran's arms. After some effort, she pulled him onto her back and carried him into her ship, putting him on the cot she kept in the back. She went to sit in a bench facing the open door. She watched the storm, rubbing her arms. Thunderstorms always brought up bad memories.

Admiral Nark took Torik to a bungalow built within a great willow tree. "I am going to leave you alone now. They are inside." Nark winked. Then he walked back to the ledge and wings appeared on his back. The span was almost as large as The Condor's, but not quite. He flew back down to the valley where the palace was located.

Krits had spoken with Shandrak already, her mind was guarded as well. Krits could probably force the mind read, but he didn't want to cause injury. He most definitely had trouble trusting the Condor. Shandrak didn't either, but she understood him better.

The Condor had been their tutor, as well as Nostros'. He trained in all methods combat. Shandrak also rode him in battle and King Medrak rode Nark. They were the only two Pegasus in existence. Nark would now carry Nostros, but that was only on the Home-world since Nark had other duties. Krits was the only one that knew about the first kiss the The Condor had stolen from Shandrak. She knew if Krits found out about the healing pool that he would tolerate it and they would imprison Condor. Yet she didn't want to even knowing his twisted tie with Valhalla. She still needed The Condor, and she was used to his personality, she figured she could handle him.

"Where is my husband?" She finally asked after having slept without dreaming about Manex for the first time in many nights.

"There's a battle in the Lunar Cat system. It's been going on for days now. We sent 2 fleets ans they are to arrive any minute now." He looked back at her from his chair, a mountain of data sitting next to him for consideration.

"How is it we are responding so late?" She shook her head.

"We just got the signal." He took a drink of water.

"Still having problems with that?"

"Yes, we have special forces investigating.... but we are turning up dry."

"Don't send any more out about myself or the baby."

"We're not... for the same reason you're suggesting." He sat the glass down.

"About your daughter?"

"I think it was planned, I think they knew. How else would it be my last time to return. My life span is unknown since I get murdered so young."

"With your genetic structure, if you aren't killed.... you could live 10 lifetimes maybe more." We are hunted by evil... no ones died of old age yet."

"Well Mikgow at 1,800 was a little pruney and his hair changed color."

She giggled. "I'd love to see you look pruney."

"Me?" His eyes got wide.

"I think you'd look funny." They had a good laugh then she heard the baby wake. "I need to go back to my room now."

"Is he really safe sis?"

"For our people he is safe." She smiled. Then her face changed after she left and she ran to the room where the baby was sleeping. She looked around suspiciously, something didn't feel right. Then she picked up Anora and cared for her. "Lets go for a walk." Shandrak bundled her up.
Shandrak walked through the palace halls enjoying the oportunity again to see the beauty. She grew up there off and on, she spent most of her life training with the Princes, under the tutilage of The Condor and and Lord Tubal. Both were fierce and cunning warriors, strategists, and gifted with power. She was troubles with the change in The Condor, but then again had he really changed all that much? He was in the darkness for a long time, who else could come out of that unscathed? She couldn't help but feel like something was wrong, it was the same sense of trouble in the stars, as if they called to her... but different and much closer.

The Condor came from around the corner. "You are troubled?"

"Yes."

"Good you should be." He stood tall. "Whatever you do... do not leave the surface of Terrellia. No matter what."

"So cryptic? Will you not tell me?" She squinted her eyes and glared at him.

"I don't think I need to." He lightly bowed his head. "I know why you were hesitant to be rescued."

"I draw unwanted attention."

"Especially now... lets just hope that Manex keeps his mouth shut about you and it buys us more time."

"I doubt that."

"And your friend?"

"Nostros must face him, and we all agreed that none are to tell him about Nakiso... or anyone else. His good name will not be tarnished." She held the baby close.

"She's the one isn't she?"

"Your line and myself only know of that prophecy.... it stays that way." A tear actually formed in the corner of Condor's eye. Which shocked Shandrak, she had never seen him show that type of emotion before. Why so sad old friend? She now knew that he was trustworthy.

"Because it's the one thing that truly makes me sad."

"Where am I?" He graoned rubbing his now aching head. (listening to LOTR sountrack.... what can you see on the horizon ....... across the see a pale moon rises the ships have come to carry you home That song has a really sad story about it)

Vellora sat in her room, she had just finished her letter, that she wanted hand carried back to her husband. She felt sad as she looked out the window at the on coming storm. It's too late for me now, like my brother. I pray the Rivven will agree, that should either need our forces would join. With all we've done to help others, I know the enemy will come for us next. We have drawn too much attention and he now knows we have the life giver. She felt her head ache, and the chills were getting worse. Gump was suspicious she was ill and stayed with her no matter what, he knew what that meant.
