"I hope that you find joy with your decision."  He started marking things on his data maps.  He was becoming engulfed in his work.  "Ykrus said he had a nice 'chat' with you.  What do you think of my son?"

"He's..."Callabine trailed off, trying to figure out what she could say beyond 'He's a jerk'. "He's not the easiest person to get along with."

"Oh." Illy sat up from what he was doing.  What the heck does she think of me?  Guess it doesn't matter anymore. "That's interesting... people say he's  like me. He told me that he had a fairly normal conversation with you, and that you were fairly pleasant." Illy kind of mumbled off on the last sentence as he went back to what he was doing.  "Did you read those files yet!"  He gasped over what he was doing suddenly not at what he was talking about.  "No no no that's not right.... change it back... you ... ug."
"What are you talking about, Illykran?"

"What are you talking about, Illykran?"
"What?" He shook his head. "Sorry I am doing something important and trying not to ignore you at the same time. I gave you files the other night. You know the night you acted like you didn't give a hoot about the risk I had just taken for you. Those files about your mothers death, did you read them? I have to turn the chip in when we get to Centauria, I told Fejorn that I would otherwise I'd be expelled." He sat down what he was doing and gave her his full attention.

Quote: Mordihm pulled away. Why did she always have to bring up such things at the worst times? He wasn't about to leave her though. "No, it's okay, I'll go with you."
She lifted up his hood a little. "Is there something that you want to do before having to listen to my mother? We haven't had any time to just be together. I think we are being ignored right now." She smiled. She did want to just hide with him somewhere forever. But Valhalla was on a path of destruction so that he alone would rule everything and whatever survived. So she had to try and defeat him. And that time was fast coming. She should have mentioned that before. His mind was on Anora and Manex now, plus he didn't want any other Terrellian interruptions. "No. Let's go."
"Okay, we need a disguise..." She walked around to his back and looked him over a bit. She bit her lip. "You'd make a very handsome Terrellian. She placed her hand on his chest and shifted him into a mock Terrellian. "Just avoid letting anyone touch you or it will disrupt it... or we could try and use the chamber and we'd have real bodies." She laughed at the thought of seeing him try and play a mortal. "Of course you could experience eating, and the sensations of touch and smell differently then what you do now.... I don't know you might like too much." She giggled

Quote: Crut for the first time, had difficulty with her accent. "Alright, we have a month or so." He kissed her head. "Now drink, you need to get well." He got up and left her room.

Three days later he went to the next gathering if the inner circle. This time everyone was present even the Moguar King. The High King was never allowed to the inner circle meeting, for his presence would be believed to intimidate the inner workings between the four worlds. There were five members from each world.

Crut and Illykran were joint chair. While the highest standing members from each group were the heads for their sections. Illykran had been growing weary as of late, and with the way the circle was handling the Memeruk case he was ready to walk out.

"Untill we have conclusive finding about dragons from specialist Orb we are not going to assume." One of the Terrellians put a firm finger on the table.

Illykran was out in the hallway listening as Crut arrived. "Have they started already?" Crut grunted.

"Well that depends on the definition of start." Illy gave him a hard slap. "You've softened up since last I saw you?"

"I have a few little secrets to my success." Crut smiled. He almost looked like his old charming self now, just taller.

"You found a woman didn't you?" Illykran smiled. "She helped you tame that beast that took you over... good I am happy for you."

"Thanks."

"Did you bring a change of clothes? Cuz this will tick you off today."

"Just don't take off on me." Crut held up a small bag with larger clothes in it.

"I won't... Krits has been trying, but I think he's about to start abusing his mind powers in order to win the argument."

"I am surprised they allowed him in based on the telepathy?"

"Well Nostros can't do it anymore... but imagine what it was like while all of you were on that earth mission!"

"Illykran?" Crut pulled him further down the hall. "Krits and I have been talking about reinstating King Felthore's Line. The Memeruk has been bred down far enough and we have three candidates that would take over instead of Fejorn's heir."

"That won't happen, the name Memeruk is fast earning it reputation as of late." Illy's face was concerned and almost full of grief. "I am going out of my mind, I have been head of trying to save the mares and foals for over three hundred years Crut. Not they are talking of exiling all of them so that we can better protect against the kidnappings."

"I read the reports. Mass execution?"

"It would end up killing too many innocent. Amber and the Condor were not bad. Sure The Condor was gruff and a bit of a jerk... but no more than some other stallions that I know. He treated his wife well and loved his kids."

"Does his daughter know who her father was yet?" Crut asked.

"I thought about telling Bambi, but not with this stuff going on, not until the water clears... They are talking of filtering down to the quarter. Crut I know those numbers, that's too many and most if not all are fine."

"Wait.. that would get both Ykrus and Heather kicked out, including Bambi." Crut shook his head.

"If they move that Motion I will challenge the blood right to Fejorn. I don't want to see Ykrus as King, but I will risk that over sending all those Cetaurs away, including two of my own children and my niece." Illykran snorted.

"Illy, I though Condors mother was a half-blood?" He cocked his head.

"No... she was actually three quarters. Enough for them to count it. I was a fool marrying Amber. Condor's baby sister." Illy shook his head.

"I haven't had a chance to read them. I've been busy filling out paperwork and getting the ship ready for a trip back to Centauria."

Illykran was not sure if it was better for him to be there or not when she read them, but now he was stuck on the ship with her and had no choice in the matter. If it were him in her situation, he'd want to be alone, but knew that he still needed a friend. He took a deep breath. "Do you remember when I mentioned things are not always what they seem? Why don't you let me fly while you take the time to read it... I can't give you another chance at this... unless I can persuade the Inner Circle. They will not fold unless the Drex are no longer considered such a threat after the battle. Plus... if you do not make it out of that mess alive, you will die never knowing the truth." His voice faded off.

Crut eyed Illykran. "I thought that you and Fejorn were on good terms? Doesn't he know your kids are quarters?"

"I disobeyed him recently... and he found out about Amber on his own years ago. I just don't understand why he's suggesting this, when he had accepted Ykrus onto the Kingsguard." Illykran shook his head. "Com'on they need to start before there's a fight." Elevated voices were now echoing down the hallway.

"Wait a minute Kasha." Nostros put a hand up. "Manex I can understand the work of the Life giver, but there is one thing that you have not grasped even with your change. You haven't even attempted to reason with me for one, and you have not proven your change.... its called repentance." Nostros finally found his way again. Though many species did not understand, Terrellian could not help but know the way of light. Yet they had to embrace it, despite the circumstances they'd been through in order to live it.

"I save your child from being eaten upon like a parasite, and I don't even get a thank you or the slightest ounce of trust. This is exactly why I don't try to reason with you. Next time I won't save your sorry *ss." And with that, he disappeared.
