"I am Shandrack... You wouldn't happen to be the Battain refugee that Captain Nostros sent to help a Captain Nakiso?" She leaned against the bulkhead. "Captain Nostros mentioned Nakiso to me the last time I saw him, he was concerned about loosing contact about a month ago... I believe they became friends."

"No," Kaio shook his head, "though, I do think I know someone who might be."

"What are the odds," Nostros smirked.

"Everything happens for a reason." Krits nodded.

"We need to get her to the Admirals ship- that's where she will be safest."

"You're funny."

"What?"

"You worry about her too much... yes she is valuable, but you forget what she is capable of."

"I can't help it."

"You better." Krits cleared his throat and quickly glanced at Tracker who was now standing by his side. "She doesn't belong to you."

"I am well aware of that."

"Are you?"

Just then their ship jolted causing many crewmen to fall. Nostro's ship was on the edge of the linked bio-shield. 2 Drexian gunships took their focus off the Gingercats and placed all their weapon fire on the Valectica.

"Sudden change of heart?" Krits pulled himself over the console.

"They are changing their attack tactics. They must be getting ready to use that weapon soon and are trying to gain a safe distance. We must be in their way." Nostros had fallen on Tracker and the two fumbled to get back to their feet.

"Or we finally ticked them off."

"Any comments?" Krits looked at Tracker.

"Its the 'we finally ticked them off'. We need to stay away from Skylix's atmosphere, or else we might burn up."

Riku took a step back, watching the Drex and Gingercat ships battle in the distance. They had already entered the atmosphere, and weren't too far away from Si'ralle's gunship.

Its the 'we finally ticked them off'. We need to stay away from Skylix's atmosphere, or else we might burn up.

"I've already ordered the fleet to continue the fight at a safe distance." Nostros nodded. "The Admirals ship on the surface is already departing.... but there is someone we have to find... two actually."

"Three," Krits corrected. "Shandrack and Crut are together.... your Battain friend may be out there but I don't know him well enough to sense him."

(Where is the ship Shandrack's on? I know where I picture them in my head is different than where you picture them)

Riku took a step back, watching the Drex and Gingercat ships battle in the distance. They had already entered the atmosphere, and weren't too far away from Si'ralle's gunship.

Si'ralle spoke briefly to the pilot, then she took his place. She turned the c14 around and she begun to rocket back toward the Lunar Cat empire.

We have until the smaller Drex ships start to withdrawl.

"There." Krits pointed in the battle map. There were two very small very heavily armed Drex warships. "They are getting close to us... and I heard the enemies voice again... they are frightened. They are looking for someone."

"Are they comming at us?"

"No they are just close enough for me to sense."

Si'ralle spoke briefly to the pilot, then she took his place. She turned the c14 around and she begun to rocket back toward the Lunar Cat empire.

(Oh. my. God.

I just rode my bike for, like, 10 miles in the 100 degree heat.)

"He's getting away!" A Drex pilot shouted.

"Not for long." The creature of the shadows smiled."

Meanwhile...

Riku suddenly grabbed onto his neck like he was choking.

Kostos looked back at Riku in alarm, grabbing his hand and pulling it away from his throat. "What's wrong?" He demanded, suddenly panicked. Si'ralle looked back for a moment, then gasped and veered sharply left, avoiding a nuclear missile.
