Riku's eyes fluttered open as he looked around. He felt nothing. No pain. All that he remembered was getting hit by the wave, and then silence. He was floating in a realm of complete darkness. Glancing behind him he saw stars, star clusters, galaxies, and galaxy clusters.

"Am I... dead?"

In a sense. A voice in Riku's head said. Riku was startled by the voice, and jumped back slightly. He looked around, trying to find the source.

"Who are you?!" He yelled.

The one who will set you free from this prison.

Kostos begun recording.

Riku pawed at his antlers slightly, before he resumed mumbling.

Kostos' eyes narrowed.

In a sense. A voice in Riku's head said. Riku was startled by the voice, and jumped back slightly. He looked around, trying to find the source.

"Who are you?!" He yelled.

The one who will set you free from this prison.

Riku was still angry, but calmed himself. "What is this place?"

The dark hollow- essentially, what you call "hell".

Riku wasn't angry anymore, he was just puzzled now. "Any more information about who you are?"

The one who has waited in the shadows for countless millenia.

Kostos' eyes narrowed.

"Get out- get OUT!" Riku suddenly shouted, pawing at his head more before his arms went limp again.

"What in the bloody name of god is wrong with him?! Help him or I kill all of you!" Si'ralle called from the front, almost near the hospital.

The medics gulped, safely removing the thorn from Riku's side and wrapping it up.

Riku was still angry, but calmed himself. "What is this place?"

Riku wasn't angry anymore, he was just puzzled now. "Any more information about who you are?"

Riku was getting very frustrated, but jumped back in fear as a creature appeared out of nowhere in front of him.

"What in the bloody name of god is wrong with him?! Help him or I kill all of you!" Si'ralle called from the front, almost near the hospital.

The medics gulped, safely removing the thorn from Riku's side and wrapping it up.

He suddenly blacked out again, and an alarm went off. His body had a dangerous amount of Izouix energy inside of him, and it skyrocketed at the same time he blacked out.

"What are you talking about?" Riku asked, getting slightly annoyed.

We know each other very well Riku. We just haven't met yet.

Riku was getting very frustrated, but jumped back in fear as a creature appeared out of nowhere in front of him.

The creature in front of him was a Coracle- The very same creature that had supposedly died out, killed mercilessly by the creatures that dared to call themselves the Drex. But it wasn't any ordinary Coracle. It had the typical sleek, cat-like body shape with a duck beak, talons, and hands similar to those like a raptor's- but its fur wasn't normal. Instead of the dark blue coat color with minty green stripes running down the side, the entire creature's body was pitch black. Such a dark color that it almost hurt Riku's eyes to stare at it for too long. It also had a blue field of energy around it- no doubt, it was Izouix energy.

I will tell you soon, Riku. Just listen to me for a minute.

I will tell you ahead of time that there is far more to this story than you can comprehend. Far more than anyone other than I can know.

The fall of Battia and the Battian Empire. The Brenka being conquered by the dark flame of the Drex. The attack on Skylix. The Tetracube.

"What do you mean?"

I am giving you a choice here, Riku. You can join me, and join the side that will inevitably win. You will leave behind the Brenka, Nakiso, the Lunar Cat Empire, Si'ralle, all of it. If you rebel, however...

Riku didn't know what to say. Whatever- or whoever this consciousness was, wanted him to abandon everything and side with the Drex.

"I refuse your offer."

I expected more from you. Someone of your intelligence should have been able to see the truth.

"But wait, I still have one more question. Who are you that possesses such great powers and knows so much?"
