The last photo is big Rick. He is my result of 3 years of careful breeding. When I started his great, great, great grand chicken had some white in his tail feathers, worked it all out. Now the first photo is big ricks grand chicks. They are all growing up nicely.

We have about a 7 at the begining and end with a 5. We have had 8s but its rare. Blind hog finds a acorn every now and then. But i guess average is between 5 and 6

that is where some of mine are but i would like to see them darker. is that possible or just wishful thinking?

I would suggest that you take a look at the white tail coverts on all the young males. If you are breeding to the SOP you have a lot of work ahead to eliminate this Fault.

That's the light shining thru the coop...not one ounce of white on those birds.

Here is my roos back as you can see there is no white as mentioned earlier. Just bad camera glare
