Ive only bought silkies from a hatchery once. It was Privett hatchery. They were non bearded but turned out pretty cute. That's been many years ago though so I don't know if the quality is still ok.

None of the hatcheries have the "best" silkies. Get them from a BYCer, that is quality!

I second getting them from a BYCer.

I thought that my little hatchery silkies were cute, until I recieved a blue silkie hen from someone in SC. She is so cute, and as far as my untrained eye can tell, the breed standard. I also recieved some eggs from the same person and I also have one little black hen and one little buff hen that are the cutest little things.

Here is one of my hatchery boys. He has a single comb, and hardly any feathers on his feet, but he does carry the blue/splash gene.
