The best incubator?

That is totally up to you! It's not a "bad" incubator, you will be able to hatch chicks and that's the goal! If you said you ordered one of the yellow top cheapo incubators I would have told you to cancel. I have just been a hatch-a-holic and have tried several tabletop incubators now and I have my favorites. My honest opinion from favorite to least favorite of the incubators I have experience with are as follows, but it's just my opinion.

1. Nurture Right 360
2. IncuView
3. Hovabator
4. Farm Innovators
5. Little Giant
6. Yellow top China-bator (not worth a penny)

I purchased both of the Nurture Right 360s from Tractor Supply when I had a coupon, which they just emailed out 15% off coupons for this weekend so you could snag one for $120 if you have the coupon but yes, it only hold 22 eggs which is why I now have 2.

Thank you so much. I guess I should start off with the 360. And definitely not the chepos. I did my research on those. Thank you very much. I guess since I'm a newbie I should stick to something like the 360 where it's more accurate. Does it have any trouble Being in a room with not so great temp consistency?

I always use Rcom fully automatic incubators and I’ll always stick with them. Take so much stress out of the incubation process with wonderful hatch rates! :)

Worth having a look into them also!

The ambient temperature in my chicken room is pretty consistently somewhere between 67-74°F and they work great in that range. I have heard of people using them in colder and warmer areas as well, how much of a fluctuation in temps are you experiencing where you want to set it up?

I've heard great things about Rcoms too, much like the Brinsea they are great but come with some sticker shock, lol.

I was thinking in my bedroom, but sometimes my room is hot during the day and cool at night. But I could set it up somewhere else if I have to. I'm not exactly sure how much of a change in temp.

Just run the incubator empty for a day when you're home and check it periodically to make sure it's holding steady.

That’s very true indeed, for the price they don’t hold as many eggs as I’d like! That being said, I was happy to pay what I have based off the success I’ve had with them and such little effort I have to put into the hatching process etc.

If looking for an Rcom, some people sell some great condition second hand ones for half the price of the retail price. Sometimes people still try to rip you off though!
